Cori and her Trials
A portal lies in front of you, beyond it a challenge. If you fail your friends die. Enter hero!
Muahahah. I love twisting my characters and if you thought you knew what drove Cori Munroe before, wait until you see what this rips out of her.
The story is finally clicking along and I’m hoping to be done by the end of January. I’m a bit over 80k right now and it is running long (I think). But that end battle. If I can pull it off you will get to see my universe at its best and worst.
Mostly I’m really pumped and enjoying writing lately. My optimism has still made it this far into the new year. We will see how long it lasts. If you missed dit there is a free short story about what happens between Charles and Daniela. You can find it here – put if you sign up for my newsletter (hint hint) you would have already gotten to read it.
Otherwise I’m still typing away and trying to figure out what trouble she is going to get into next. But I tell you the next story should be interesting.
Take care and enjoy the new year.
Mel Todd
Can’t stop reading. Killed my kindle and had to switch to my phone twice.
I am really loving this series. All the characters are great and the plot and world building is astounding. Your books have so much depth than many of the other books coming out, they are a joy to read.
You are who I wanted to be when I grew up, Mel, a writing fool, and my newest hero since Daryl Dixon and Carol on The Walking Dead and the Black Panther. For many years, no one has approached my admiration for Anne McCafferty (dragonriders and sci-fi) until I found you and Twisted Luck on Kindle Unlimited. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. Hope you’ll see my review on Amazon and Goodreads.
Your awe-struck fan,

P. S. Mel, please connect somehow with an actual proofreader. I try not to be a grammar Nazi, but my ancient B.A. was in English and I worked in the military and civilian life as an editor and tech writer. Autocorrect and spellcheck are awesome tools for easing the drudgery, but they don’t catch mistakes like buy for by or phase for faze (autocorrect just changed that to *gaze*). Your creative talent needs no help; just your text details. Biggest pet peeve (you’re not alone in this error): Monroe’s vs Monroes, Guzman’s vs Guzmans, and so on. Offered with affection, your fan, LWM
Lol – believe it or not I even pay people to edit it and we still have mistakes slip through. It is frustrating. But thanks!
Hi Mel! I just got your Twisted Luck series and devoured them over the weekend, so I’m thrilled to learn that there’s more on the horizon. Have fun torturing . . . I mean writing.
Stay well!
Hi Mel! I wanted to let you know that I got your entire Twisted Luck series and devoured them over the weekend. I’m torn between begging for the next book and telling you to stay well and take care of yourself, because that’ll get me more books long term. ๐
Either way, have fun torturing!
Samantha – I apparently got slammed by spam and never realized I had messages. I hope you got the link via my email.
Thanks!
