  • So as the “not going to be at DragonCon this year” author I get to bemoan on the blog.  But this is how I refuse to feel left out.  I look at it purely with logic on how miserable my friends will be while there and how awesome my weekend will be by not going.

Friend’s A.  They have to suffer TSA, highways and Atlanta to and from DragonCon.

My A.  The liquor store is a half mile from my house.

Friend’s B.  They have to spend all day walking miles in uncomfortable shoes.

My B. I can walk around in sandals and black socks.

Friend’s C.  They have to wait for 20 minutes in a bathroom line.

My C.  I can pee in my bushes anytime I want.

Friend’s D.  They have to put tape and paint on their cosplay weapons to show their not “real”.

My D.  I can shoot whatever gun I want on my private range then crush some beers, pull my machete, then attack the target hacking it to pieces.  Annnnn not be arrested for it.

Friend’s E.  They all have to fly/drive home hung over in on Monday.

My E.  I get to sleep though my hangover on Monday in my own bed.

Sniff…. Shiff… Good thing I’m not going to DragonCon.  It sounds horrible.

friends will be, but they’ll take fun with staged FaceBook posts,
